Registration / Tryouts
Registration for the Fall 2016 season opens on April 27th and runs through the end of May. In response to a nationwide age group change mandated by US Youth Socccer, Massachusetts Youth Soccer is changing registration age groups for all teams. Beginning this fall, all town programs will register players based on grade level, not birth date. While club teams are moving to a calendar year registration (2000, 2001, 2002, etc), town programs will continue to remain grade based allowing players to play with their classmates.
For the Fall 2016-Spring 2017, the biggest impact for NYSA is the new labels for each age group from formerly U9 to Grade 3 and formerly U10 to Grade 4, etc. This change is effective across all age groups starting Fall 2016.
All players attending Select Team Tryouts must register prior to their tryout night. Tryouts begin on Monday May 2nd. Please see Select Team Tryout Schedule.
During the weeks May 2nd and May 16th, the Ellsworth McAfee fields are closed to practices on the tryout nights. Thursday and Friday during those weeks are scheduled rain dates if needed.
